It is a pleasure to share my Broomfield residential real estate market year in review with you. This report, which is based on extensive personal research, offers you the opportunity to examine the 2020 market trends and relevant sales statistics and to explore what is happening in your neighborhood’s micro market. I hope you will enjoy this report and find it both useful and enlightening.
The Broomfield real estate market is in an interesting place with the COVID-19 outbreak. The statistics from the past month will be primarily from homes that were either sold or under contract prior to shelter in place orders across the state. We won’t truly understand the impact the pandemic is having on the market until data is available at the end of the month and into the summer.
I can tell you it feels as if the market has slowed and even come to a standstill at some price points. While I don’t believe this is long term, it is likely going to be a slow couple of months.
There are many things I am focusing on to help promote my listings and show homes in a safe way. I am primarily using virtual showings as a way to present my listings to potential buyers. This is done through the use of HD video and 3D virtual reality tours that are completed on each of my listings.
For buyers, some homes have 3D tours available while others do not. Utilizing tools such as FaceTime allows buyers to tour a home virtually without exposing themselves or a seller to COVID-19 and other illness.
This is uncharted territory for the real estate industry and it is critical to adapt on the fly in order to keep the real estate market moving.
