Summer break is at its end and children are heading back to school soon. For most, this signals and end to the Summer buying and selling season as well. I recently wrote a blog that discusses late Summer buying and selling and the advantages and disadvantages to both. If you are still considering a move this year, I would encourage you to read that blog post.
The Broomfield real estate market in 2019 remains strong, but is slower than last year. As I have said all Summer long, I believe this is a good thing for the overall health of the market and has brought buyers back that stayed away during the peak of the market last Summer. Overall, sellers are getting over 99% of list price when the home sells and the average sales price is up (slightly) from the same time last year.
The Fed recently announced a rate reduction and this is more great news for buyers looking to purchase a home in either late Summer or early Fall. This may also signal a good time for homeowners to consider refinancing their current mortgages as well.
